How do I apply to become a stallholder at Sacred Tree Markets?
Please follow the appropriate above link and fill in the online application form and submit.

Please note: all stalls positions at Sacred Tree Markets are offered on a casual basis.

When do you run?
Operating hours vary, depending on the venue.

For our main market (Nelson Bay), hours are:
10am – 3pm throughout the year
4pm – 9pm during peak summer holiday times

What time do I need to be there?
All stalls are given individual set up and pack up times to allow for the traffic flow of getting vehicles safely in and out of the grounds. Time allocations are made based on site number and stock. This information is emailed to confirmed stallholders the prior to market day.

What sort of stalls are you looking for?
Artistic, dynamic, fun, high quality and extremely unique stalls. We aim to be as unique, artistic, ethical, home grown and high quality as possible. So if you have a product which you believe meets this criteria we would love to hear from you!

How much are site fees?
Fees vary according on the market venue. Please refer to the appropriate Stallholder Application.

For our main market (Nelson Bay) fees are as follows:
Small site (table size) – $50
Regular site (3m x 3m) – $90
Large site (3m x 6m) – $180
Waste Disposal Charge $20 per market day (applicable if you are preparing food on site)
Public Liability Insurance extra $10

Can you cover our Public Liability Insurance?
Yes we can. Stallholder PLI can be covered through Sacred Tree Markets insurance policy if needed. We ask for a contribution of $10 towards our expenses should you require this. The exception to this is candles, soaps, second hand goods, electrical equipment, entertainment, therapies and food stalls. These stalls must provide their own Public Liability and Product Insurance.

I have a food stall. Is there anything special I need to know?
Yes. Any person selling food onsite will need to have all relevant Food Authorities and council permits as required under state and local laws. Please contact the NSW Food Authority and Cessnock City Council/Port Stephens Council for full requirements on obtaining any relevant Temporary Food Permits for the area.
Please note: Application for a position at Sacred Tree Markets does not guarantee acceptance and we have quite an extensive waiting list for food related stalls. Please wait for confirmation of acceptance before applying for a CCT Temporary Food Permit specifically to trade at Sacred Tree Markets.

Do you hire equipment?

We have a small number of white marquees available for casual hire. Please contact us for information.

What is an energetic event?
Sacred Tree Markets is unlike any other market event in that we are an organisation committed to the “energetic environment” as well as the physical look of the event. In becoming a stallholder at Sacred Tree Markets you are agreeing to keeping the energetic environment a happy place and a peaceful place and to respect others at all times.

Sacred Tree Markets are environmentally conscious event. How may this affect me?
We are committed to creating an environmentally sustainable event.
We ask all stallholders to provide environmentally friendly packaging alternatives. The use of plastic bags, styrofoam, polystyrene, plastic cutlery as well as any other form of non-biodegradable packaging is being phased out as we become more environmentally conscious. Compostable packaging is encouraged.
